COMPENSATION:  $15 per hour plus profit commission + $1 per hour for parking + 20% store discount

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Social Media Mander position reports to the Owner and has open and direct communication with the Store Manager and the Web Manager. The Social Media Manager will be required to work 8 hours per week with flexible scheduling. This position is perfect for a freelance marketing professional.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Team Accountability - responsible for showing up to work as scheduled, on time; trying to set fellow employees up for success with clear and honest communication, explanation of outstanding/ongoing tasks for the day, cleaning up after yourself.

  • Schedule - responsible for communication conflicts and planned vacations as soon as possible by adding them to the time off calendar, keeping extra time off at or under 2 weeks per year. Each employee will (usually) have 2 days off per week. Schedules are usually posted one month in advance.

  • Social Media - operate all social media platforms, streamline brand, with the goal of boosting sales. Work with the owner to establish a marketing and promotions calendar based heavily on social media and web presence. Run Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and landing pages. Responding to customers in a timely manner and creating content for posts. Ensuring posts are online in a timely manner and in line with the marketing calendar.

  • E-mail Marketing - send out weekly newsletters through MailChimp. Organize, draft, and send newsletters pertaining to journal entries, sales, events, offerings, and overall happenings at the shop. 

  • Open Communication - update all staff members weekly on website offerings and/or plans. Work closely with the Store Manager and Web Manager to ensure everyone is on the same page. Keep open and clear communication with the owner.

  • Blog Posts - responsible for writing a weekly journal post. Organizing and publishing a weekly blog post from our Astrologer.

  • Videos - able to create short engaging videos on all social platforms. Boost our YouTube and TikTok channels with educational offerings.


Required Qualifications:

  • Passion for spiritual realm, some knowledge of our products, strong online customer service skills, experience with Instagram, being on camera, Adobe Suite, e-Commerce platforms, e-mail marketing


Strongly Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of our products, background in herbalism, reiki, witchcraft, mysticism, tarot, and/or gemstones, understanding of feng shui
