This week we come to the Last Quarter Moon on Thursday. This waning phase of the Moon as the Gates of Samhain simultaneously open offers an exceptionally potent time to craft magick for dissolving, letting go, and separating from that which no longer serves in our lives. Every waning Moon beholds this gift, however the Veils are thinning at this time of year, and our Ancestors and other Great Beings are willing and eager to assist us in this passage of laying down that which needs to die. Our overculture struggles immensely with death, however it is a part of the Wheel of Life, and all death ultimately leads to regeneration.

Mars transmutes into fixed and psychic Scorpio, joining the Sun and goddess of devotion Vesta on Saturday, October 30th. This is home to Mars, who utilizes force over the divine spirit. Actions and motivations may come through deep intensity, and at times people may be behaving in ways that are suspicious, jealous, or possessive. However there is a great magick to this primal energy, one that opens the space of mystery to explore what is taboo ranging from sex, death, money, power and control.

Calendar Samhain is exact on October 31st, opening the portal to the Otherworld. Now is a blessed time to clean your home and hearth in preparation for Ancestral Celebrations. You now have the ability to access the unseen realms, therefore your dreams, intuition, and other subtle abilities are heightened. This is the time to create more stillness in your life, to honor the Void. Long baths, candle gazing, divination, journaling, and deep sleep are continually welcomed as we prepare for the opening of Eclipse Season with the upcoming Scorpio New Moon on Thursday, November 4th.
