This Coyote Tail is the perceived "waste" of the fur trade. "Rescued" from a trapper, these tails, along with other spare scraps, were being discarded and ultimately destroyed. Instead, they are now transformed into wearable art with them, giving them a new life and honoring the animal spirit.
Coyote medicine is known as trickster medicine – knowing that things are not always what they seem, and being able to not only discern truth from illusion but also create illusion. They are also symbols of ancestral wisdom and brotherhood.
